Remembering Our Heroes
In lieu of our upcoming National Holiday, I just want to take a moment to reflect and give thanks for all the folks who sacrificed so much for our country. We are privileged to live in a land where freedom is so assumed on a daily basis.
I was privileged to partake in a Yak Attack kayak fishing tournament this past weekend that promoted and helps support Heroes on the Water, a non-profit that gives our wounded warriors an opportunity to heal and be encouraged through kayak fishing.
Needless to say there were many active and retired military participating and a group of volunteers that put on a first class event from raffle prizes, fishing trophies and prizes along with feeding easily over 100 people for two days. Also a special thank you to Fish Unlimited Taxidermy for donating the trophies.
